PLANES: Dry Land by Planes-Music
Words and Music by Inaiah Lujan All these ups and downs I’m feeling seasick Waves are crashing on my head again Do you have someplace maybe I could lie down Wake me when we reach dry land I’ll dream a little dream you never left me I’ll imagine then that you’re still here I’d tell you all the things that you deserve dear I can’t breathe when you are not near Just whisper all the words I long to hear dear Run your little fingers through my hair But surely this is just some great illusion When I wake you wont be there I’m on a sinking ship, lost at sea, longing for your love The walls are caving in, the water’s cold, wont you lift me up? All these ups and downs I’m feeling seasick Waves are crashing on my head again Do you have someplace maybe I could lie down Wake me when we reach dry land Wake me when we reach dry land Music dry land sinking ship ocean sea sick planesPLANES
I’ll go ahead and post this quietly in the night.
Stirring the muse. There are oh so many planes.
Christ is to be sought neither in the wilderness nor “in the inner chambers,” nor in the sanctuary of any temple or church built by man; for christ is the true esoteric saviour is no man, but the divine principle in every human being. He who strives to resurrect the spirit crucified in him by his own terrestrial passions, And buried deep in the “sepulcher” of his sinful flesh; he who has the strength to roll back the stone of matter from the door of his own inner sanctuary, he has the risen christ in him.

Is it on the third floor?
—The Third Floor
My 2013 Song Journal continues: “The Third Floor,” about a reoccurring big house dream I have.
The Third Floor
Words & Music: Inaiah Lujan
There’s a door there in a hallway I’ve seen
Is there anybody in there?
Are you scared?
Is there really anyone behind that door?
Have you been here before
Do you know where you go?
Is it on the third floor?
There’s a place where in a dreamland I’ve been
Seems like everybody’s in there?
Don’t be scared
Is there really anyone at all but me?
Have you eyes to see?
Did you once believe?
Do you still believe?
Floating in the atmosphere
I’ve come a long long way from here
From a far and distant land
I’ve seen it
I can feel it
There’s a place where in a dreamland I’ve been

All is You
Self loathing or self love
Which will it be?
Selfishness or selflessness
It’s all apart of me
A choice between being free
And a want or need
An empty cup can be filled
But a full cup is bound to spill
Such a fine line between love & hate
Same emotion with a different weight
Living and dying
Laughing and crying
The pendulum swings
Everyday we’re planting seeds
Reaping what we sow
Is it flowers or weeds?
And if the right eye offends thee
You must pluck it out
Reality or duality
What’s it really all about?
Every moment you are exactly where you need to be
Living and learning eternally
Externally and internally
Growing and showing
In a world of dreams
We are visitors passing through
Floating down a cosmic stream
Fight the current or enjoy the ride?
It is you who decides
Shower Revelations
A stranger looked at me and smiled
Somehow right then, I knew everything would be okay
You are my true north
Lots of changes going ‘round
Another shower revelation
Even a broken clock is right twice a day
I’m looking down, the bottom isn’t far
I’m looking up, reaching for the stars
I’m looking out, to discover what you are
I’m looking in, for the healing of my scars
Truly, it is in the darkness that one finds the light
My night with Dog Days.
—Don't You Worry
Spent a few days on the mesa in Colorado Springs with The Kings of Space. It’s easy to feel the creative spirit around these guys, they embody creativity. I sneaked off to take a nap, but the muse had another plan for me… I didn’t fight her, I grabbed my electric guitar and wrote this song.
Don’t You Worry
By: Inaiah Lujan
Baby dry your eyes
For this too it shall pass
You know nothing is meant to last
So dry your eyes
Baby don’t you cry
It’s only broken heart
Sometimes things grow apart
But don’t you cry
‘Cause you know we’ve lived 1000 lives
And you know we’ve searched 10,000 times
And I wont stop until I find your love again
Baby I’m searchin’
Baby I’m searchin’ for your love
For your love
In another life
We lived so peacefully
Now it seems love’s lost at sea
Don’t you worry
‘Cause we’ve been here before
And my heart beats at your door
I now know what my love is for
It shines for you
Oh baby I’m searchin’
For your love
For your love
So don’t worry
So don’t worry
—I Don't Wanna
new dog days songs.
One Foot in Front of the Other
Gonna let the sun back in my life
Gonna let my light shine bright
I’ve been dancing in the shadows
O dark clouds, let in rain
Wash away the pain
Cleanse my body cleanse my soul
Goddess of love make me whole
Angel of mercy help me grow
Sorrowful muse give me peace
Grant my freedom, give me relief
Empty my sorrowful cup
And refill it with the truest of love
O my true love we’ve just begun
Learning to walk before we run
Two legs and arms of one body
One foot in front of the other
Walking side by side
In eternal wonder
—Dry Land
Dry Land (2/5/13)
Words and music: Inaiah Lujan
All these ups and downs I’m feeling seasick
Waves are crashing on my head again
Do you have someplace maybe I could lay down?
Wake me when we reach dry land
I’ll Dream a little dream you never left me
I’ll imagine then that you’re still here
I’ll give you all the things that you deserve dear
I can’t breathe when you are not near
Just whisper all the words I long to hear dear
Run your little fingers through my hair
Surly this is just some great illusion
When I wake you wont be there
I’m on a sinking ship
Lost at sea, longing for your love
The walls are caving in
The water’s cold, wont you pull me up?
All these ups and downs I’m feeling seasick
Waves are crashing on my head again
Do you have someplace maybe I could lay down?
Wake me when we reach dry land
Wake me when we reach dry land
—On and On
On and On (1/30/13)
Words and music: Inaiah Lujan
All the roads will lead us to an end
Oh lets go back to the beginning
Before the loneliness began
Before this emptiness inside you
We were young and so in love
The kind of love that dreams are made of
A dream you wouldn’t want to wake from
It goes on and on and on
And with this love we made ourselves a song
A song a can’t forget the words to
And we made love all night long
Until the sun came up to greet you
We were young and so in love
The kind of love that dreams are made of
A dream you wouldn’t want to wake from
It goes on and on and on
Oh darlin’ where did we go wrong?
How could I ever be your nightmare
How could we ever take our song
And turn it into such a sad affair
How will we ever get back home
Back to the place where we belong
But you know our love is strong
It goes on and on and on
And you know our love it strong
It goes on and on and…
I… Love… You…
And with this love we’ll find our way back home
